Kaïs Gzara

I am presently located in Abu-Dhabi, UAE, with a regional expertise of the Middle East, and Africa. My primary expertise is Oilfield Services and my secondary expertise is Rock Physics; and i consider myself, an Expert Petrophysicist, with extensive Wireline (WL) and Logging-While-Drilling (LWD) experience.

My colleagues consider me a good Technical Writer, and i have authored many leading Technical Reports during my career. I enjoy searching for wisdom, making sense of data, and taking the time to do things right – and have published numerous Patents.

Having been employed by both a Service Company and an E&P Company, i can better appreciate the harmony between both; and the importance of team dynamics.

Petrophysics is an ever evolving hands-on discipline, involving a good mix of science, engineering, and creativity; which satisfies my curiosity and keeps me motivated. My personal goal is to elevate Petrophysics to the level of an "art", and to publish books on Formation Evaluation and Well Placement.

Specialties: Hands-on Petrophysical experience, from data acquisition, to data processing, integration, and interpretation, using an extensive range of techniques, and application to many hydrocarbon reservoirs across the globe.

I am also fluent in English, French, Arabic, and Italian, with working notions of Spanish and Portuguese - and have a reasonably good working background in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
