AX Board of Directors: roles, responsibilities and elections
Composition of the AX Board of Directors
In accordance with the transitional provisions of the new statutes, in 2026, following the vote of the general assembly, the board consists of 23 elected members and 2 ex officio members (the president of the École Polytechnique and the president of the École Polytechnique Foundation).
In 2027, following the vote of the general assembly, the board will consist of 22 elected members and 2 ex officio members.
Pending the appointment of the president of the École Polytechnique, the interim president is a permanent member.
Board meetings
The Board of Directors meets at least five times a year convened by its Chair or at the request of a quarter of its members.
Each year, at the first meeting following the Annual General Meeting, the Board chooses from among its members an Executive Committee comprising a Chair, three Vice Chairs, a General Secretary and a Treasurer for a one-year term of office. Under the leadership of the Chair and in line with the broad guidelines laid down by the Board, the Executive Committee proposes and steers the action plans that the Executive Management Team implements.
Submitting proposals to the Board
Do you have ideas, projects or changes you would like to see implemented? Contact the General Secretary to submit your proposal to the Board (before 1 March each year) and take part in the General Meeting in June.
It is essential that the views and actions of the Board are based on the legitimacy of a large and involved community.
Members of the Association
Any École Polytechnique student may be an Association member (trainee).
Alumni, graduate and trainee members are entitled to vote at the General Meeting.
The last general assembly, which took place on 22 June 2026, in person at the Maison des Polytechniciens and via videoconference, approved the 2025 annuel report (in French language ).
