Sébastien Demichelis (X99) is joining George Tecusan (G18) at the AX Embassy in Bucharest to energise the alumni network and enhance the School's influence.
Sébastien has been working at Groupama since 2009. After holding positions in China and Turkey, he became Deputy CEO of Groupama in Romania in 2023. Deeply involved in the French community, he is also the treasurer of the French Lycée in Bucharest, a board member of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Romania, and a Foreign Trade Advisor.
George Tecușan is the Country Director for Renalfa in Romania, an investment group active in the fields of clean energy and electric mobility, with a particular focus on renewable energy production assets. His expertise covers a wide range of technologies, including solar, wind, and green gas. He has held key positions in business development and asset management, focusing on renewable energy facilities. He is also a member of the Future Energy Leaders organisation, the youth programme of the Romanian National Committee of the World Energy Council (CNR-WEC).
Romania, the most represented country in the recent Bachelor's graduate cohorts, is also welcoming an increasing number of students from the École Polytechnique's Master of Science and Technology programme. The strengthening of the Bucharest Embassy thus supports the School's development strategy in Romania, opening up new perspectives for students and the Polytechnique network.
